I need to know if this pump has an external capacitor located on top of the pump. The unit I want to replace has clearance issues and an external capacitor located on the top of the pump will not fit. Your information on your website does not specify. Please advise.

Patrick, The photo that was provided from the MFGR and from the warehouse is the same photo that we have on the website that does not show an external capacitor.

Is this pump ok to use with a Cartridge filter system
Reply
Yes this pump is okay to use with a cartridge filter system. Normally this pump is used on portable spas or hot tubs. If you are using on an above ground pool then we would suggest the version of this pump which has basket, here you can view this Waterway Pump With Basket.

Good day. I was able to find a MANUAL on the WATERWAY WEBSITE. For warranty issues, I could not a spot on the site. I did find a Tech Support line - 888-72-5387. I am sure they would be able to get you what you need.

(5 out of 5 stars) Quiet pump!

This is a side discharge unit but ships as shown (with discharge facing upwards). You can change the position of that discharge by rotating it however you need. There are four long hex head set screws (which run the length of the motor into the pump) accessible from the rear of the motor, which need to be loosened. Once you remove them, just rotate as appropriate and retighten...done!
